Cookies!

We attempted to make cookies yesterday. Notice I said attempted. Being pregnant I hate to bake/cook so we decided to buy the premade dough in rolls... I guess I should have rolled the dough thicker because they didnt bake very well.

Atleast we got some good pictures of the decorating and cutouts!

Kite flying at the lake front

Last weekend we spent the day at Vetran's Park trying to fly kites. It worked for a little while until Evan couldn't hold on durring a big wind gust and his kite went flying, litterally. Bye Kite!

Miley enjoyed the walk and the warm sun, as you can see.

The walk way at Vetran's Park and McKinley Marina make a great day trip. You should try it some time.

Cave Spelunking!

Yesterday we went cave exploring. In Wisconsin just west of Mt. Horeb is a place called Cave of the Mounds. It is an amazing place. Originally a lead mine, the miners blasted one day and it opened up this Large cavern (cave) it is really an amazing site. These formations (stalagtites, stalagmites, colums, cave bacon, ect) only grow at a rate of 1/4" every 100 years... if I remember correctly. When you look at these pictures.... remember that fact... it will blow you away!

The creation of a Wedding Shower Luau.

My best friend is getting married and she asked me to be her Matron of Honor. It is a obligation I am proud to undertake! I am so excited.

We have decided to throw her a Luau for her wedding shower. We wanted to be unique and I think this will be.

So my creative juices have been flowing! You should see what I have come up with. I just might sell these as a package!

This is some of what I have done so far! It sure has kept me busy!

Centerpiece for the tables

Soaps for favours (handmade of course)
I have also done keychains for the bachelorette party invites and hand made the shower invites as well! I am not done yet.
So check in for updates on what i am doing next!

A trip to the ER.

Man it's been a while! I really need to start blogging more.

So, I spent an interesting night last night at the ER with my husband who thinks he is the table saw super hero. Only last night the table saw showed him who is boss. To make a long story short and to save you all the gorey details, the Table Saw won. Cricket sliced all 4 fingers on his left hand. 1 trip to the ER, 3 1/2 hours, 3 numbing sessions, 1 X-ray, and 24 stitches later we were on our way back home.

*sigh*

The poor guy. Even tho he was a total idiot and did something totally stupid, I can't help feeling bad for him. First the Zylacaine (kinda like Novocaine) didn't work, hence the 3 numbing sessions. Then the Vicadin didn't work. It would take a horse pill to knock this guy out. Amazingly enough 4 Advil worked. Huh.

After a restless nights sleep for both of us, he went off to school today and will be back at work tomorrow on light duty.

Isn't life full of surprises? I just count us lucky he didn't hurt himself more than that!
